PKM

The PKM is a general purpose machine gun, commonly issued in numerous Eastern-Bloc armies. In Far Cry 2, the PKM feeds from a 100-round ammunition box, and is much more reliable than its contemporary, the M249. It is best fired in short bursts, as the recoil can cause the shots to go awry if the weapon is allowed to fire on full-auto for long periods. The PKM lacks the range of more accurate weapons, but is a very effective mid-range combat tool and for suppressing enemies. It truly shines when paired with the Milkor MGL, as the PKM serves as the standard troop combat weapon while the Milkor can be reserved for bombardment or anti-materiel purposes.
