The M1903A4 Springfield Bolt Action Rifle is a bolt-action rifle created in the United States of America. Seeing U.S forces through World Wars 1 and 2, the Korean War and the early stages of the Vietnam War, the rifle has since become a popular civilian hunting and personal defense weapon.

The Springfield is the least-expensive, most basic rifle in the game. It is reliable, accurate and powerful, though it lacks the range and power of later sniper rifles. Because it uses a bolt action, it also has a slower firing rate than the other sniper rifles that become available later. Your character will not automatically cycle the bolt after each shot, and you will be required to leave the scope view to cycle it. This may cause you to loose a target.
It is the default primary weapon of the multiplayer Sharpshooter class.
