Improvised Explosive Devices

The Improvised Explosive Devices, or IEDs, are exactly what they sound like. Simple explosives rigged together with fuse arming wire and a basic triggering device, they function as remote-detonated explosives. Their reliability rating is moot, as they are single use, like grenades. The IEDs are best used when luring enemies away from a guard post into an fiery trap, as they are cumbersome to set up and use on the fly in heated battle. Furthermore, they are excellent for dealing with the convoys that the weapons dealer will ask you to destroy to unlock more hardware, as an IED can be laid in the road and triggered as the truck passes over it with a simple press of a button.

The last four ratings are meaningless; this is a single-use weapon, readied and dropped on the ground to be detonated via remote control.
