The Dragunov SVD is a Soviet-designed semi-automatic designated marksman's rifle firing ten rounds from a detachable box magazine based primarily on the action and receiver of the AK-47.

The Dragunov SVD is semi-automatic, allowing quicker follow up shots than the Springfield M1903. It is also extremely reliable and accurate. However, it does not have the range or power of the AS50.
